Engineers from North Caucasus Federal University (NCFU), in cooperation with specialists from "Center for New Solutions" and "Stilsoft" company, have created a line of copter-type drones with a payload capacity of up to 10 kg and a flight range of up to 10 km. Developers are adapting the drones for agriculture. This was reported by the university's press service.

Prototypes of the drones have already passed tests. Complete design documentation has been prepared for them. Specialists have also established drone production at the university's facilities. They can be used for the needs of the agricultural sector: applying fertilizers or monitoring soil and crop conditions.

We don't just have a flying prototype, but a reproducible technology. The platform allows for quick changes in functions without losing reliability.
Filipp Samoylov, Candidate of Technical Sciences

The key advantage of the unmanned platform is its flexibility. The software allows the drone to be configured for specific tasks. If necessary, programmers can refine the autopilot function, explained the university's press service.

Currently, the development team is improving the technology and expanding its capabilities. This will increase the drone's competitiveness in the domestic market, experts are confident.
