The hull of the Project 02122 floating dock "Sukhona" has been fully formed below the safety deck. The work was completed ahead of schedule, and the technical readiness of the new facility reached 55.5%. Construction is being carried out by the OSK enterprise "Sevmash" as part of the shipyard's docking infrastructure development program.
Currently, the installation of sections above the safety deck, the assembly of galleries and superstructures, as well as the laying of ballast and drainage systems are continuing on the floating dock. After these stages are completed, large-sized equipment will begin to be installed on the facility.
The "Sukhona" floating dock will become one of the key elements of Sevmash's production infrastructure. Its launching capacity is 23.5 thousand tons, which will allow the structure to be used for transporting ships under construction and repair between slipway No. 2 and the enterprise's water area.
The construction of the floating dock is being carried out by "Sevmash-shelf" company according to the design of the OSK "Almaz" design bureau. The working design documentation was developed by specialists of the Sevmash design and engineering bureau. The facility was laid down on April 26, 2024.
The new floating dock is being created as part of the OSK docking program with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and is intended to expand Sevmash's capabilities for building and repairing large-tonnage ships.
