The Russian government will develop a national strategy for the development of autonomous systems for the period up to 2036. This instruction was given by the head of state, Vladimir Putin. The initiative was included in the list approved by the president following the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The government is instructed to develop a national strategy for the development of autonomous systems until 2036 with the participation of the association of operators and manufacturers of autonomous systems "National Autonomous Systems".
The deadline for fulfilling the instruction is December 15, 2026.
Autonomous systems are technologies and devices capable of performing tasks with minimal human involvement or completely independently. They can analyze information, make decisions within given algorithms, and perform necessary actions without constant manual control.
Autonomous systems include, for example, unmanned vehicles, robotic complexes, and other intelligent systems. They are used in transport, industry, agriculture, logistics, medicine, energy, construction, and the defense sector.
