Specialists from the Moscow enterprise ODK-Salyut, involved in the creation and production of PD-14 aircraft engines, underwent an internship at the Central Institute of Aviation Motors named after P. I. Baranov – CIAM. The institute is considered the main scientific center of domestic engine building.

It was through CIAM that engines for MiG-29, Su-27, Su-35 fighters, and Tu-160 strategic missile carriers were tested and refined over the years. Today, the institute participates in the PD-14 programs and the promising high-thrust PD-35 engine.

ODK-Salyut employees studied the operation of modern research equipment, digital modeling systems, and software complexes for planning production processes.

The course aims to develop managerial and production competencies in masters: mastering production management methods, improving planning and work organization skills, enhancing qualifications in quality control, and developing communication skills.
Alexey Gromov, Managing Director of ODK-Salyut

The main result of the internship at ODK is the transfer of advanced practices from the scientific environment directly to the production of aircraft engines.

ODK-Salyut participates in the production of AL family engines for combat aviation, as well as in the implementation of new generation civilian programs, including the PD-14 engine for the MS-21 aircraft.
