The Fregat upper stage has arrived at the Vostochny Cosmodrome for testing and preparation for a new space flight. Roscosmos transported it using a special An-124-100 aircraft. The unit was then moved to the assembly and testing facility for further work. The delivery from Moscow to the cosmodrome's airport was carried out by Volga-Dnepr Airlines.

There, specialists will install the unit at its workstation and conduct a series of necessary checks before its use as part of a future space mission.

The Fregat upper stage is used with medium-class launch vehicles and is designed to deliver one or more spacecraft into various near-Earth orbits, as well as into escape trajectories. Thanks to its own propulsion system, it allows for precise flight parameter formation after separation from the launch vehicle.

At the same time, Roscosmos continues to prepare for another important mission. The State Commission has authorized the rollout of the Soyuz-2.1a rocket with the Soyuz MS-29 crewed spacecraft to the launch complex of the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

The installation of the rocket on the launch pad No. 31 is scheduled for July 11, and the launch is expected to take place on July 14. Two Roscosmos cosmonauts and a NASA astronaut will travel to the International Space Station aboard the Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft.
