In 2025, the Perm plant "ODK-Aviadvigatel" suffered losses due to the suspension of the R&D project for the creation of the PD-35 high-thrust aircraft engine. This follows from the company's published financial statements.
The company's revenue fell to 16.6 billion rubles, and net loss amounted to 663.1 million rubles.
The decrease in total sales volume is associated with the suspension of funding for the R&D project to create a high-thrust aircraft engine.
However, work on creating a family of high-thrust engines based on the PD-35 engine gas generator is already underway, the company added.
ODK noted that the PD-35 has already received more than 2,300 parts manufactured using additive technologies.
Aviation expert Roman Gusarov explained that the PD-35 will be the pinnacle of domestic technologies, but its development is more complex than launching a rocket into space.
