After the cessation of cooperation with foreign manufacturers in 2022, Russian aircraft manufacturers practically rebuilt the Superjet support system from scratch. Almost 170 Russian enterprises were involved in the support, and technical maintenance of 510 foreign components was mastered domestically.
At the same time, it was possible to create our own infrastructure for repairing foreign components, update operational documentation, and establish the production of necessary consumables and spare parts.
These measures precisely allowed avoiding a scenario that was considered quite realistic in the spring of 2022. At that time, experts predicted that without the support of foreign suppliers, the SSJ-100 fleet could completely cease operations.
Now the forecast has changed dramatically: after 2030, about 85% of the produced aircraft will remain in operation, and work on further import substitution continues.
