Shipbuilders of the enterprise "Stroitelstvo i remont malotonnazhnogo flota" (SIRMF, Svetly, Kaliningrad region) launched the small trawler-seiner "Boleslav" (project 174610). The vessel is designed for year-round fishing with bottom trawls using the stern scheme and purse seine. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS).
The catch will be transported in bulk in a chilled state. The trawler's crew will be able to catch up to a thousand tons of aquatic biological resources per month.
The advantages of the trawler-seiner "Boleslav" are high seaworthiness and the presence of an advanced fishing complex. The construction of the vessel of project 174610 is aimed at updating the small-tonnage fleet for coastal fishing, planned deliveries of catches to coastal enterprises, and providing fresh fish to residents of Russia, the RS press service emphasized.
