The new small missile ship (MRK) "Shtorm" of Project 22800 has entered the next stage of construction. Its ceremonial launch took place at the Amur Shipbuilding Plant.
Now the ship will proceed to completion, equipment installation, mooring and factory trials before being handed over to the Navy.
"Shtorm" became the third ship of the "Karakurt" series, which the enterprise is building for the Pacific Fleet. Their main strike weapons are "Kalibr" family cruise missiles, as well as modern air defense, communication, and combat control systems.
The launch was carried out using a special pontoon dock "Amurets", built as part of the OSK production capacity modernization program. After completion, "Shtorm" will undergo a full cycle of trials, which will be the final stage before its inclusion in the Pacific Fleet.
