RZD has launched a large-scale program of tariff concessions for industry. As TASS reported in the holding company, the company's board approved a package of discounts for the transportation of metallurgical and chemical cargo, aimed at attracting additional volumes to railway transport.
The most significant discount – 50% – will be received by senders of ferrous metal rolled products in open wagons from Voynovka and Serov-Zavodskoy stations in the Sverdlovsk region. Iron ore and iron ore concentrate from Vorontsovka station will be transported 25% cheaper. Export-import and domestic transportation of ferrous metal pipes from Buzhaninovo station to 11 regions, as well as to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, will be 34.7% cheaper.
Another 23.9% discount will be provided for the shipment of rolled products from Komsomolsk-on-Amur station. Chemical companies will receive a 10.6% discount on export urea from Sala station to the port of Luzhskaya, and precious metal miners will receive 22.1% on ore from the Far East.
Some discounts are long-term. The transportation of stable gas gasoline from Tatarstan to the Leningrad and Murmansk regions will be 17.4% cheaper with a horizon until mid-2028, and the discount on precious metal ore will last until the end of March 2027. Other preferential tariffs are valid until the end of 2026. For cargo owners, reduced transport costs mean increased product competitiveness in domestic and foreign markets, and RZD guarantees itself the loading of open wagons and tank cars in key directions.
