Atom electric car receives Level 2 autopilot with a "Made in Russia" certificate

The Russian Export Center issued the document in the "Reliability" and "Quality" categories

The domestic electric car "Atom" will be equipped with its own advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) with Level 2 automation. As reported by the press service of AO "Kama", the technology has been certified by the Russian Export Center and is ready for mass production.

ADAS takes over part of the driving in traffic jams, on highways, and during parking, but the driver is required to keep watching the road. The system has been developed since 2022 with Russian climate and road conditions in mind. It has already been integrated into "Atom", but can also be installed on cars from other manufacturers.

The certificate will significantly accelerate export contracts — there is demand for Russian high-tech solutions among car manufacturers from Asia, the Middle East, and the EAEU. While Western ADAS have left the Russian market, "Kama" may be able to occupy this niche.

Sales of "Atom" are set to start before the end of spring, with prices starting from 2.975 million rubles including the state subsidy.
