PAO "Tupolev" may once again have a CEO position, which the company lost in 2021. This was reported by a source from "Business Online".
He suggested that the change in the status of the head of "Tupolev" is related to the transfer of PAO management to the authorities of Tatarstan.

Tupolev lost the CEO position due to a management reform within the United Aircraft Corporation. That is, in fact, since then, the head of PAO ceased to be completely independent, becoming a subordinate manager from the management company.
Since March 2026, the enterprise has been headed by Yuri Abrosimov as managing director. Abrosimov previously did not deal with production and design issues — he is a pure financier.
"Tupolev" is a manufacturer of Tu-160 "White Swan" strategic missile carriers, a key enterprise of the OAK strategic aviation division.
Its structure includes the Kazan Aircraft Plant, which has set a course for the revival of serial production of Tu-214 airliners.
