Strategic missile carriers Tu-160 of the Russian Aerospace Forces' long-range aviation performed a scheduled flight in the airspace over the neutral waters of the Barents and Norwegian Seas. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence's press service.

During the flight, the crews of the Tu-160 strategic missile carriers practiced aerial refueling. Fighter escort was provided by the crews of MiG-31 interceptors of the Aerospace Forces.

The flight duration was about 16 hours.

The department emphasized that all flights of Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft are carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace.

Chinese media admired Russia's resumption of production of Tu-160 "White Swan" bombers, which was considered impossible in the West.
