Su-57 enters a new pace: Russia sharply increased production of fifth-generation fighters

Defence Security Asia: Test flights confirm the appearance of new aircraft

Russia is accelerating the production of fifth-generation Su-57 fighters. Two new aircraft were simultaneously spotted during flight tests. This may indicate an expansion of serial production and the program's transition to higher production rates. This was reported by Defence Security Asia.

The authors of the material note that the Su-57 remains the only Russian serial fifth-generation fighter. The aircraft combines stealth technologies, an active phased array radar station, internal weapon bays, a modern electronic warfare system, and an integrated data exchange system.

According to Defence Security Asia, the increase in the number of simultaneously tested aircraft may be due to the expansion of the production capabilities of the enterprise in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. At the same time, official data on the number of Su-57s produced are not disclosed, so the conclusions are based on an analysis of published materials and open information.

The publication also believes that the further development of the program will depend on maintaining the pace of serial production, introducing new technologies, and expanding the production base. According to the authors of the publication, all this can strengthen the position of the Su-57 both in the domestic and potential export markets.
