The Russian brand Jeland has launched the J7 crossover, which is essentially an adapted version of the Chinese JAECOO J7. The starting price for the model is announced at 2,849,000 rubles, which is higher than the base cost of the original Chinese car, offered at approximately 2,649,000 rubles.
In fact, this is not a completely new development, but a rebadged model localized for the Russian market. Technically, the car retains its original architecture: a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine, a 7-speed robotic gearbox, and a choice between front-wheel and all-wheel drive with power ranging from 150 hp to 186 hp.
Production is organized in St. Petersburg, at the Shushary site, as part of a partnership between the AGR holding and Defetoo company. Formally, the project is positioned as localization, but in essence, it represents the launch of an existing Chinese model under a new brand.
Earlier, "Perviy Tekhnicheskiy" reported that sales of the new J6 crossover from the Russian automotive brand Jeland have begun. The initial price of the model is 2.29 million rubles, and the car is already available for purchase from official dealers in three different trim levels.
