The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has patented a new invention – an all-terrain vehicle assembled on a spatial frame made of metal profiles. Components and assemblies of the power plant, transmission, chassis, and controls use parts from front-wheel drive VAZ models – from the "ten" to the "Priora" and "Kalina".
The vehicle is designed for two people. It is equipped with passive protection measures: underbody protection, a smoke screen deployment system, and electronic warfare equipment. A cargo platform is provided at the rear.
The use of mass-produced automotive components simplifies the production and maintenance of equipment in the field. The design can be adapted for various tasks.
