Russia plans to supply equipment for hydroelectric power plants and wind farms to Argentina. This was announced by Anastasia Suiskaya, an expert in the field of energy at the Russian Trade Representation in Argentina.
The "Power Engineering Design Bureau" has signed a memorandum on the supply of low-power turbines for a hydroelectric power plant in the province of Neuquén. Deliveries are scheduled for next year, but the specific models of the units have not yet been named.
Also, as part of cooperation with the province of Chubut, the Russian side has developed technical specifications for wind farms — the supply of blades from the company "Rosatom. Renewable Energy" is expected to be agreed upon.
Earlier, Kazakhstan revised the construction of a new unit at the Ekibastuz GRES-2 and abandoned Russian turbines and generators in favor of the Chinese supplier Harbin Electric International.
Nevertheless, the republic is purchasing equipment for other facilities, including the modernization of existing stations.
