Currently, the Russian Aerospace Forces have about 50 operational Tu-22M3 bombers in service. This assessment was made by TWZ.
Western journalists stated that there are allegedly inoperable combat aircraft in the fleet, but they can still be returned to service after major overhaul.
The production of the Tu-22M3 ceased several decades ago, which is why each of them has special value.
