Employees of the Svarog Research and Production Center (NPC) have modernized the "Gorynych V6" cargo drone. The unmanned aerial vehicle is capable of carrying 10 kg of cargo over a distance of up to 12 km. This was reported by the center's press service.
Now with Ardupilot firmware – stabilization, route flight, smart automation. At its core is the 743 processor, one of the most powerful flight controllers to date.
The center explained that the updated "Gorynych V6" can fly along a given route. Upon request, frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) wireless communication technologies (which are necessary to protect against interference from enemy electronic warfare systems) can be integrated into the drone. A proprietary ground control station (GCS) has also been developed for the drone.
Tests of the "Gorynych V6" in units of the Russian Ministry of Defence have already been completed. NTC "Svarog" provides technical support and also trains operators to control the drone.
