The Urals warm Russia: two more 230 MW turbines are being prepared for commissioning

New power units at Kharanorskaya GRES with UTZ installations will be put into operation in 2029

"Inter RAO" will complete the construction of two power units at Kharanorskaya GRES in 2029. The necessary equipment will be delivered to the station in 2027, said the head of the company, Sergey Dregval.

According to him, two power units of 230 MW each will be commissioned exactly on time.

All main power equipment, including two steam turbines from Ural Turbine Works, two generators from "Elsib", two steam boilers from "Inter RAO – Engineering", have been contracted and put into production.

In October 2025, Dregval and the Governor of Zabaykalsky Krai, Alexander Osipov, launched the construction of two power units at Kharanorskaya GRES. As a result, the station's capacity will increase by 70%. Investments in the project will amount to about 172 billion rubles.

Earlier it became known that the first serial superturbine GTD-110M will receive a split casing. The 118 MW power unit has already operated for more than 12 thousand hours at the TPP.
