The Volga K50, whose production has been launched in Nizhny Novgorod, is largely based on the Geely Monjaro, but these cars will not be completely identical. Maxim Kadakov, editor-in-chief of "Za Rulem" magazine, named four differences between the Russian crossover and the Chinese model.
The first difference concerns smartphone connectivity. The Volga K50 will immediately offer integration via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. According to Kadakov, support for Apple CarPlay only appeared on the original Chinese cars a few years ago.
The second change is the seat trim. The interior of the Volga K50 is planned to use eco-leather instead of Alcantara.
The third difference is related to operation in Russian conditions. The volume of the washer fluid reservoir will be increased from 4 to 5 liters, so fluid will need to be refilled slightly less often.
In addition, a wider range of trim levels is expected for the Volga K50. It is already known that the basic version of the crossover will cost 4.2 million rubles.
Thus, the main differences between the Volga K50 and Geely Monjaro concern equipment, interior materials, the washer fluid reservoir, and the number of available versions.
