Artificial intelligence is intended to be transformed from a mere assistant into a full-fledged digital employee. At SPIEF-2026, Sber, together with scientists from the AIRI Institute, HSE University, and Beeline, presented new solutions for AI agents that will be able to perform work tasks and evolve independently.
The main novelty was the self-evolving AI agent. According to Sber, such a system is capable of autonomous development, meaning it can improve its performance without constant manual adjustment by a human.
The AI Journey session also showcased tools that allow users to create AI agents independently. This is claimed to enable businesses to develop digital assistants for specific work tasks.
Participants separately discussed how autonomous such systems can be made. The discussion focused on which decisions an AI agent can make on its own, and where human control should remain.
Another topic was the use of AI agents as full-fledged digital employees. It is assumed that such systems will be able to integrate into the workflow and perform individual functions within a company.
Following the discussion, participants reached a consensus: the future lies with AI systems that can work not separately from the business, but directly within its processes.
In Russia, similar solutions are also being developed by Yandex. For example, Yandex AI Studio, where companies can assemble their own agents, connect them to applications, and build automation for entire work scenarios. Yandex also has voice agents for customer support and internal tasks.
