T2 has launched a cross-border money transfer function in its application, allowing funds to be sent directly from a mobile number balance to cards and phone numbers abroad. The new service initially covers Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Transnistria, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
Transfers are processed through T-Bank's integrated payment infrastructure, and funds are credited almost instantly – within a few seconds. Currency conversion is performed automatically at the current exchange rate of the recipient's country, and no commission is charged for transactions.
To send money, the user selects the international transfers section in the T2 application, specifies the country, recipient's bank, and card or phone details, and then confirms the operation.
The company states that the list of destinations will expand. The launch of the service is timed to coincide with the growing demand for fast transfers during the travel and holiday season. According to market participants, the cross-border transfer segment in Russia showed multiple growth in 2025, intensifying competition between operators and banks.
