New Turbo Engine for Crossovers Starts Production in Russia: It Will Be Installed in Tenet

A new 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine for Tenet crossovers has begun production in the Kaluga region. Production has been established at the AGR enterprise, where engines for Volkswagen cars were previously assembled. The new unit is suitable for both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive vehicles.

The G4T15 engine was presented at the Kaluga region stand during SPIEF – 2026. Its displacement is 1499 cubic centimeters, maximum power is 147 hp, and torque is 225 Nm.

The engine complies with the Euro-6 environmental standard. The power unit weighs 105 kg.

The new engine is intended for Tenet cars, which AGR also produces in Kaluga.
