The production of the "Ovod" FPV-drone in the Ryazan region has reached a level of approximately 20 thousand units per month. Serial production is organized by one of the residents of the "Aerospace Valley" innovation center, which specializes in the development of unmanned aerial systems.
The achievement of production volumes was announced by Pavel Malkov, Governor of the Ryazan region, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. According to him, "Ovod" has become the most sought-after model in the company's lineup and is constantly being improved in accordance with the needs of the military. This drone is designed for combat missions, including the destruction of fortifications, equipment, and enemy personnel.
In addition to the FPV direction, residents of the "Aerospace Valley" are developing other solutions in the field of unmanned aviation and autonomous systems. In particular, the "Vostok" design bureau has created the universal aerial platform "Scalpel" and is also implementing projects in partnership with enterprises that are part of the Rostec state corporation.
In total, about 150 technology companies are registered in the innovation center, working in the fields of radio electronics, unmanned systems, biomedical technologies, and infrastructure solutions. According to regional authorities, the development of the "Aerospace Valley" could lead to the creation of about 2.8 thousand jobs and an increase in tax revenues to the regional budget by 2031.
