A new payment service for contactless purchases will appear in the national messenger Max. Users will be able to pay for goods or services directly through the messenger – without cash and without a plastic bank card. To do this, they will need to create a personal QR code in the application and show it at the checkout.

The agreement to launch the service was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The participants of the project were the National Payment Card System and the Max messenger.

The new tool will be implemented as a mini-application within Max. Through it, users will be able to pay for goods and services without taking out a physical card. All operations will be processed through the Faster Payments System.

For security, transactions will be protected by the protocols of both companies. In addition, access to the service will need to be additionally confirmed by user biometrics.

Dmitry Dubynin, CEO of NSPK, noted that in the future, users will be able to link a bank account for biometric payments. They may also gain access to benefits within the "My Mir Card" project.

Farit Khusnoyarov, CEO of Max, stated that cooperation with NSPK should make transactions as simple as sending a message.

Earlier, VK and NSPK had already signed an agreement under which transfers via the Faster Payments System were tested on the Max platform. Later, clients of a number of banks were able to transfer money to each other in the national messenger.
