Developers of Wildberries, one of Russia's largest marketplaces, are working on creating their own messenger. This was announced by the company's founder, the head of Wildberries & Russ (RVB), Tatyana Kim.
We launched a messenger in test mode for employees, but it primarily appeared as a solution to our internal problems for our team's communication.
According to her, the company wants to create a product that can be brought to the Russian and international markets.
The initiative to develop a messenger appeared after the merger with the outdoor advertising operator Russ. Kim emphasized that for the application to be successful, it must have "something new, something unusual."
The founder of Wildberries reminded that the company is also developing the Wibes video shopping platform. It has a function for forwarding favorite videos, as well as the ability to leave comments. Kim did not rule out that group chats may soon appear in Wibes.
