The 500-hp BELARUS 5425 is undergoing tests in the Brest region

Minsk Tractor Works (OAO "MTZ") will acquire facilities for the production of 500-horsepower tractors (high-power agricultural machinery). The investment project is planned to be implemented in 2026-2027. This was announced by Taras Murog, the general director of the Belarusian enterprise.

The production will be largely robotic.

According to him, MTZ plans to digitalize and robotize production processes, including for the production of unmanned agricultural machinery.

The enterprise will move away from manual labor by introducing new technologies. The production of low-power tractors will also be modernized, Murog added.

The general director of the plant stated that BELARUS tractors are known all over the world. They are valued for their "reliability and unpretentiousness" in operation, he concluded.

MTZ developed the flagship 500-hp BELARUS 5425 tractor in 2025. In May 2026, it was sent for testing to one of the agricultural enterprises in the Brest region.
