Russia has focused on modernizing its submarine fleet and developing systems capable of striking at immense speeds with virtually no time for interception. This was stated by military expert David Yeranosyan.
According to him, domestic submarines already surpass American ones in a number of characteristics, despite the numerical superiority of the US Navy.
Russian strategic and multi-purpose submarines are newer, significantly cheaper, and adapted for "Zircon" hypersonic missiles, which the US does not yet have analogues for.
Captain First Rank Vasily Dandykin stated that after the unification of launchers, ammunition for Project 636.3 "Varshavyanka" submarines could be loaded without any difficulties.
