Kalashnikov Concern has developed a new unmanned aerial vehicle, the SKAT 220. The company will present the novelty at the International Security Forum, which will be held from May 26 to 29 in the Moscow region.
The UAV was created based on the SKAT 350, but with a smaller wingspan – 2.2 m, and a weight of 12 kg.
This allows it to achieve record speeds – up to 160 km/h, making it unique in its class.
The SKAT 220 received an electric motor, can stay in the air for up to 60 minutes, launches from a catapult, and is adapted for parachute landing.
The concern clarified that the SKAT 220 will be useful for security and safety, monitoring of extended fuel and energy complex facilities, transport infrastructure, and power lines.
