TMK Steel Technologies supplied a ladle carrier for the steelmaking production to Volzhsky Pipe Plant. It was manufactured according to individual technical specifications with full development of design documentation.
Evgeny Gubanov, Managing Director of the Mainline Machine-Building Division of TMK, noted that the project's implementation was the result of joint work between specialists from TMK Steel Technologies and the engineering center of Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant.
The development of new technologies and the creation of individual design solutions within the framework of inter-plant cooperation is aimed at reducing dependence on external equipment supplies and ensuring uninterrupted operation of production facilities through our own developments.
The product was developed for transporting a 150-ton steel teeming ladle from an electric arc furnace. The ladle carrier's length exceeds 9.5 meters, its width is more than 6 meters, and its weight is 65 tons.
The body is made of high-strength low-alloy steel, capable of withstanding significant thermal and mechanical loads. Control is carried out remotely.
