AvtoVAZ has started shipping the new Lada Iskra to dealers across Russia, but the car is not yet available for purchase. All vehicles are intended exclusively for test drives and presentations. Each of the 338 dealers will receive one or two cars, with only the Techno and Enjoy trim levels being supplied.
Iskra production will restart after the corporate holiday, without any pre-prepared stock. Mass production is not expected until 2026, and the first commercial vehicles may appear at dealerships closer to autumn. Test drives will start in mid-August.
Lada Iskra is a new B-class model positioned between Granta and Vesta. It is equipped with 1.6-liter engines (90 or 106 hp) and is available with a manual transmission or a CVT. The starting price is from 1.25 million rubles, with the top version costing up to 1.8 million.
