Foreign publications reported on Russia's preparations for Ka-52M helicopter exports

Defence Security Asia: This could involve the supply of up to 48 attack helicopters to China

Russia has begun preparations for the export of Ka-52M "Alligator" helicopters. This was reported by Defence Security Asia, citing its sources and documents that have become publicly available.

According to Defence Security Asia, the documents feature a foreign customer under code "156". The publication notes that this code is associated with China. This refers to the preparation for the supply of up to 48 Ka-52M helicopters, as well as related equipment, training, and technical support.

As the publication writes, the documents allegedly contain data on the production schedule for 2025–2027, coordination of component supplies, and internal correspondence of Russian enterprises. Export contracts and project financing stages are also mentioned.

However, there is no official data on a probable deal. Russia and China have not made official statements on this matter.

Defence Security Asia emphasizes that the published materials have not been confirmed by government agencies or equipment manufacturers. Nevertheless, the publication believes that the documents indicate the preparation of an export program for the Ka-52M.
