"Indestructible" T-90M Surprises Repairmen: Tank Withstood 20 Damages

"Proryv" is Quickly Restored Due to Thoughtful Design

The Russian T-90M "Proryv" tank has shown extraordinary survivability, which surprised even specialists from repair units. This was stated by Alexander, an employee of Uralvagonzavod, who has been working with armored vehicles in the field for many years.

According to the engineer, one of the first T-90M tanks was damaged dozens of times over several years, underwent restoration, and returned to service.

The tank turned out to be so tenacious that in two years, it came in for repairs about ten times just while I was there, and probably 20 times in total. A true hero.
Alexander, UVZ employee

According to him, engineers pay increased attention to the additional protection of vehicles. Sometimes the design turns the tank almost into a "two-story fortress."

But this really increases the crew's protection. Sometimes literally everything at hand is used: metal structures, boards, fence elements.

It should be noted that "Proryv" is considered one of the most modern Russian tanks. The T-90M received a new fire control system, enhanced protection, and a modernized engine.

The crew of the T-80 tank said that they practically do not pay attention to drones after the new welding of the tank's hull. The military did not specify the secret of the protection, but once a T-80 withstood 22 UAV hits in a row.
