Russian military personnel have equipped the T-90M tank with almost all types of screens used for protection against drones. Footage of the post-apocalyptic vehicle appeared online.
The photo shows that the T-90M's side screen received explosive reactive armor (ERA) elements in steel containers, while the turret has ERA in fabric bags.
The vehicle was also equipped with rubber screens covering the front part of the hull and the turret.
The upper hemisphere of the turret is protected by a lattice "brazier" with a "hairdo" of unraveled steel cables. This increases the vehicle's protection without significantly reducing its combat effectiveness and mobility.
The crew of the T-80 tank said that they practically do not pay attention to drones after the new welding of the vehicle's hull. The military did not specify the secret of the protection, but once a T-80 withstood 22 UAV hits in a row.
