Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Guoqing called for intensifying interaction between the two countries in the field of high technologies. According to TASS, at the opening of the X Russian-Chinese Expo in Harbin, he emphasized the need to strengthen exchanges in areas such as big data, artificial intelligence, and autonomous driving. Special emphasis was placed on joint work on the creation of smart cities.

Today, China is one of the world leaders in the implementation of smart city technologies, possessing the largest data arrays for training neural networks. Integration with Russian competencies in fundamental science can reduce the gap with the West in the field of mass AI implementation. The Vice Premier noted that the two countries need to deepen cooperation in fundamental research and the practical implementation of its results.

Following the meeting, scientific and technical innovations were named one of the priority areas. They are designed to ensure mutual benefit and become a driver for increasing the efficiency of the economies of the two countries, Zhang Guoqing summarized.
