Kamaz unmanned trucks to solve labor shortage in Donbas

Tests of KAMAZ-65119 in Karansky quarry were successful

The use of unmanned trucks will help compensate for the shortage of specialists at the Karansky quarry in the DPR. This opinion was expressed by the head of the republic, Denis Pushilin, on the sidelines of the economic forum "Russia—Islamic World: KazanForum".

There is a shortage of labor, and this kind of replacement with unmanned technology will allow us to compensate for it and not reduce the efficiency due to the absence of appropriate personnel.
Denis Pushilin, head of the DPR

According to him, tests of the Kamaz unmanned truck in the Karansky quarry (Telmanovsky municipal district), which started at the end of February 2026, were successful. Special equipment will be used at all stages of crushed stone mining and production.

This refers to the KAMAZ-65119 model. The truck can be controlled remotely using a remote control or autonomously (all decisions are made by an electronic module based on a given program and data from instruments). The cabin also has a driver's seat for traditional control.
