Su-35S returned to base with 28 holes after missile strike

Details of damage to Russian "4++" generation fighter revealed for the first time

One of the Su-35S "4++" generation fighters sustained serious damage after a surface-to-air missile strike, but the crew managed to return the aircraft to the airfield. Details of the combat operation were reported by "Tekhnosfera Rossiya" publication, citing a report in a specialized journal.

After landing, specialists counted 28 holes in the fuselage and structural elements.

Even under conditions of dense air defense and the threat from mobile anti-aircraft systems, Russian fighters continue to perform tasks.

The published material also states that Su-35S aircraft use long-range R-37M missiles. Their maximum launch range at high altitudes can reach 300 km.
