In Nizhny Novgorod, you can now receive orders not from a courier, but from a robot delivery driver. Rovers are already delivering groceries to local residents. Nizhny Novgorod has become the fourth million-plus city where such a service has appeared.
Currently, robots operate in the Sormovsky, Kanavinsky, and Moskovsky districts of Nizhny Novgorod.
At the same time, Yandex expanded its delivery geography in St. Petersburg and Kazan. In St. Petersburg, rovers appeared in the Kalininsky, Krasnogvardeysky, and Primorsky districts, and in Kazan – in Vakhitovsky, Novo-Savinovsky, and Sovetsky. In the future, robotic delivery is planned to expand to other districts.
Yandex rovers also operate in the suburbs. They can be found in Khimki, Lyubertsy, Odintsovo, Dolgoprudny, Murino, and Innopolis. Since their launch, the robots have completed over a million orders, the company said.
Yandex is now releasing its fourth generation of rovers. The robots have received an updated lidar, a more powerful computing unit, and a high-cross-country suspension. In 2026, the company plans to release 5000 new generation robots.
