Rosatom prepares machine-building orders worth 25 trillion rubles: focus will be on domestic solutions

The largest program until 2040 should support domestic production

Rosatom expects to receive a huge volume of machine-building product orders totaling 25 trillion rubles. The state corporation emphasizes: with such a scale, it is especially important to rely primarily on Russian technologies and equipment. The details were revealed by Rosatom head Alexey Likhachev at the Congress of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia.

The nearest horizon we see – 2040 – promises us an order for machine-building products of up to 25 trillion rubles. And this is a large sum, where we are ready to focus as much as possible primarily on Russian solutions.

According to the head of the state corporation, this is important for both Russian energy and most of Rosatom's foreign partners. Likhachev noted that the solutions must be "100% sovereign" and completely domestic.

According to him, Rosatom uses imported equipment only in cases where a foreign customer insists on it.
