The construction of a new production line for carbon fiber by Rosatom's Composite Division has been approved in Tatarstan. A positive conclusion was issued by the Department of State Expertise and Pricing of the Republic of Tatarstan for Construction and Architecture. The launch of production is tentatively scheduled for 2027–2028.
The project envisages the creation of a line designed for the production of a wide range of carbon fiber. This will allow increasing production volumes and strengthening the position of Rosatom's composite direction in the Russian market, as well as providing the industry with materials for various sectors.
Alexander Dmitrik, General Director of the Composite Division, noted that obtaining a positive conclusion from the state expert review was an important stage in the project's implementation. According to him, the development of the new production line should expand the production base and support the further growth of the composite materials industry in Russia.
