"Kalashnikov" for the first time presented a flexible robotic factory

New generation automated system for industry will replace humans

In Moscow, at the international exhibition "Metalloobrabotka–2026", the "Kalashnikov" concern, together with "Intratool" and "Semargl" companies, presented the operation of a flexible automated production (FAP). The system combines a logistics robot, a collaborative robot, and a CNC lathe into a single production cycle.

As part of the demonstration, the "Semabot" logistics robot moves blanks and parts between the warehouse and processing areas, delivering them to the equipment. Then, the collaborative robot picks up the blank, places it in the chuck of the IT-42 lathe, and transfers it for processing. After that, the machine automatically performs turning, drilling, and other technological operations according to a given program.

According to the developers, all production stages in such a system occur automatically without operator involvement. This reduces the number of errors, cuts costs for auxiliary personnel, and ensures continuous equipment operation.

Such complexes are considered as a basis for further implementation of flexible production systems in industrial enterprises.

The international specialized exhibition "Equipment, Instruments and Tools for Metalworking Industry" ("Metalloobrabotka–2026") takes place in Moscow from May 12–15.
