The Air Force of Belarus is conducting scheduled flights on new Su-30SM2 multi-role fighters. A key difference of these combat aircraft from their predecessor, the Su-30SM, is the replacement of foreign equipment with domestic analogues, according to analysts from the Telegram channel "Voenny Osvedomitel".
Previously, the cockpit featured French Thales HUD 3022 head-up displays (HUD). Now, instead of the foreign system, a wide-angle collimator indicator IKSh-1KI is installed.
All electronics also run on domestic processors, which eliminates the risk of remote system shutdown.
Military analyst Evgeny Damantsev explained that after equipping with AL-41F1S afterburning turbofan engines and N035 Irbis-E radar stations, the Su-30 series fighters will sharply increase their combat power.
