Russia transferred Su-30SM2 fighter jets abroad

The first batch of combat aircraft in 2026 entered service with the Belarusian Air Force

The first batch of Su-30SM2 fighter jets in 2026 has entered service with the Belarusian Air Force. This was reported by the press service of the republic's defence ministry.

The previous batch was transferred to Belarus on December 26, 2025. It is known that at that time the Belarusian army had from 14 to 15 Su-30SM2 units in service.

Let us recall that the Su-30SM2 is a modernized version of the fighter with AL-41F-1S engines from the Su-35S, which are 16% more powerful than the previous ones and have twice the service life.

Military analyst Evgeny Damantsev stated that after being equipped with turbojet AL-41F1S afterburning turbofan engines and N035 "Irbis-E" radar stations, the Su-30SM2 fighters will significantly increase their combat power.

The transfer of the aircraft to Belarus is taking place within the framework of military-technical cooperation between the countries, noted the commander of the republic's Air Force, Major General Andrey Lukyanovich
