Supplier of engines for Arktika and Sibir icebreakers declared bankrupt

FNS initiated Ruselprom's insolvency due to a debt of 99 million rubles

The Federal Tax Service (FNS) initiated bankruptcy proceedings against Ruselprom, a company supplying propulsion electric motors for Project 22220 nuclear icebreakers. The Moscow Arbitration Court accepted the application for proceedings.

The reason was a debt of about 99.4 million rubles. The tax authority is seeking to declare the company insolvent, and the case is scheduled for June 23.

Simultaneously, interim measures were imposed on the company. Operations on bank accounts were suspended to guarantee debt collection.

Ruselprom participates in the supply of power plants for key Project 22220 icebreakers — "Arktika", "Sibir", "Ural", as well as the vessels under construction "Yakutiya" and "Chukotka".

Earlier it became known that a machine-building plant in Zelenodolsk, where 400 local residents work, will be closed. Some employees have already been laid off under the article on enterprise liquidation.
