"Grad" and "Uragan" will be able to open fire almost immediately after stopping

Belarus tested a new system for high-precision MLRS strike

Belarus has developed a new automated control and guidance system for "Grad" and "Uragan" multiple launch rocket systems. The complex, created by OAO "VOLATAVTO", has passed research tests and is designed to modernize existing combat vehicles.

The system automates the guidance of the launcher package, topographic and geodetic referencing, and orientation on the terrain. The complex can also receive target designation from command posts and reconnaissance assets.

The development reduces preparation time for firing and allows the combat vehicle to be deployed in an unprepared position immediately after a march. Fire control is carried out directly from the cabin, without the crew leaving the vehicle.

The ACS design is compact. Electronic units and a tablet with special software are used for installation, and installation does not require significant modification of standard equipment.

Following the tests, the new system is considered a solution to increase the mobility and accuracy of Belarusian MLRS.
