Attack drones “Molniya-2” have been equipped with artificial intelligence and a target acquisition function for autonomous attack even in case of complete loss of communication. This was reported by a drone crew operator with the call sign Artist.
According to him, “Molniya-2” can be sent on an autonomous flight at a distance of up to 500 m from the destination. Then the drone will destroy the target itself even if communication is lost.
This is already being used on the battlefield. For beginners, this is exactly what they need. AI helps them in a complex dive maneuver on the target.
In addition, instead of operating on a single frequency, “Molniya-2” drones are configured for multiple bands, which improves communication stability.
The built-in autopilot mode allows the drone to continue flying and perform its mission even when attempts are made to jam communication. A solution has also been found against kinetic interceptors, and crews are actively maneuvering.
