Russian kamikaze drones "Molniya-2" in terms of intensity of use in September outpaced the strike aircraft of the "Lancet" line. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Military Informant."
In total, 2.2 thousand "Molniya-2" were launched last month, while the launch rate of "Lancets" is about 400.
It is characteristic that the cheaper and more versatile "Molniya-2" has significantly outstripped the famous "Lancets".
The twin-engine aircraft-type drone "Molniya-2" is capable of carrying up to 6 kg of payload on board. The catapult-launched vehicle is capable of hitting targets at a range of up to 30 km.
At the same time, "Molniya" also became fiber-optic, and also began to act as a "mother" for other drones of smaller radius of action. But in this case the range is limited by the effective cable length.
The Ministry of Defense emphasized that the kamikaze drone is comparable in characteristics to the "Lancet", but significantly cheaper and easier to operate.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia is ready to offer supplies of Su-57 and S-400 air defense systems abroad.
