Changan Uni-T to be assembled in Russia: "Cosmic" design crossover gets production approval

The model will feature a 167 hp turbo engine, 92-octane gasoline, a 7-speed robotized gearbox, and a basic set of safety systems

Another Chinese crossover, the Changan Uni-T, is preparing for assembly in Russia. This model features an unusual "cosmic" design, a turbo engine, automatic climate control, and a set of options that should make it a prominent player in its segment.

The Changan Uni-T crossover will be produced by the Kaliningrad-based Avtotor plant. The enterprise has previously certified other Changan models – the CS35 Max, CS75 Plus, and Uni-S.

According to "Kitayskiye Avtomobili" (Chinese Cars), the Russian version of the Changan Uni-T will completely replicate the imported Chinese model.

The crossover's dimensions are 4515 × 1870 × 1565 mm, with a wheelbase of 2710 mm. The curb weight of the car is 1540 kg, and the permissible weight is 1840 kg.

Under the hood, the Russian version will have a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 167 hp. The engine complies with Euro-5 environmental standards and is designed to use 92-octane gasoline.
