Giant complex for Angara rockets created at Vostochny Cosmodrome

Large-scale infrastructure covers tens of hectares and includes hundreds of facilities

One of the largest infrastructure facilities for rocket launches has been deployed at the Vostochny Cosmodrome. The launch complex for "Angara" includes hundreds of structures and occupies tens of hectares – all of this is already ready to work with heavy launch vehicles.

According to Roscosmos, the Angara rocket complex at Vostochny includes 316 facilities. The total area is 89 hectares. The complex is designed for launching Angara-A5 and Angara-A5M launch vehicles.

Its creation utilized the experience and technologies of a similar complex at the Plesetsk Cosmodrome. However, the design at Vostochny was made with an eye to the future – it will allow for the modification of equipment for prospective rockets.

Earlier, in December 2025, it was reported that the launch pad for heavy Angara family rockets at the Vostochny Cosmodrome had already been put into operation.
